She also holds a M.A. in Humanities from CSU Dominguez Hills where her research focused on performances of women in Shakespearean film. Currently, she teaches courses at UM on Musical Theatre history and performance, introductory theatre, as well as specially offered courses on Music and Sight-singing for the Actor. She has presented scholarly papers at both national and international conferences, and her current scholarship focuses on political propaganda embedded within musical theatre works between 1880 and the First World War (with a particular focus on the comic operas of John Philip Sousa).
